The problem Blinking ID solves – how to onboard clients without creating compliance friction
Customer onboarding puts two things at risk: compliance and revenue. Regulated businesses need to know who they are dealing with and conduct appropriate customer due diligence, while meeting increasingly demanding KYC and AML/CTF obligations. For newly regulated Australian businesses, these requirements have expanded significantly from 1 July 2026.
But compliance can also create commercial risk. Slow, manual or fragmented verification adds friction at the point of conversion, potentially delaying or losing customers. Global research of more than 450 banking executives found 67% had lost customers because of inefficient KYC and onboarding.
The challenge is meeting regulatory requirements without making customer onboarding unnecessarily difficult, costly or slow.
How Blinking ID reduces the friction involved in onboarding customers
BlinkingID brings identity verification, KYC/AML checks and customer onboarding into one configurable platform, replacing fragmented and manual processes with a faster, smoother digital journey.
Organisations can verify identity and documents, perform biometric and liveness checks, screen customers, apply compliance rules and automate onboarding workflows within a single process. Identity verification can be completed in under one minute, significantly reducing the time and friction involved in getting legitimate customers onboard.
The result is faster onboarding, less manual effort, stronger compliance, and a smoother and faster customer experience that helps reduce abandonment and accelerate time to revenue.

Blinking Clients
Blinkings clients include: Raiffeisen Bank, Yettel, Vivacon, Addiko Bank, Erste Group, AIK Bank, Generali, A1, MTS.M-Tel and many more.
Why Blinking was created
Blinking was created around a simple idea: technology and compliance should enable business, not stand in its way.
Organisations invest heavily in marketing, customer acquisition and digital transformation, yet complex technology and fragmented onboarding processes can create barriers at the very point a prospect is ready to become a customer. Every unnecessary step adds time, cost and friction, putting both the customer experience and the investment made to acquire that customer at risk.
At the same time, increasingly demanding regulation, particularly in Australia, means organisations must strengthen identity verification, customer due diligence and AML/CTF compliance. For many businesses, especially those newly facing these obligations, implementing large and complex enterprise solutions is neither practical nor necessary.
Blinking was built with two outcomes in mind: protect the organisation and maximise the business opportunity. It helps organisations meet compliance obligations and manage identity risk while making verification and onboarding faster, simpler, and easier for customers.
Whether the requirement is a straightforward identity check or a sophisticated enterprise onboarding journey, the principle remains the same: protect the organisation, protect the investment in acquiring customers, and make it easier for legitimate customers to do business.
Rade Bogdanovic Credentials
Over more than 30 years, I have helped organisations across four continents adopt new technologies and use them to solve business problems and create growth. I have done this while leading teams for some of the world’s largest technology vendors as well as start-ups and emerging technology companies.
I learned early that successful technology adoption starts with listening to the customer, understanding the business problem first, then mapping it to the technology and approach that best fits the organisation.
That has meant helping organisations across Southeast Asia discover, classify and protect sensitive data and manage privacy and regulatory risk; organisations across the Pacific region strengthen operational cybersecurity and modernise critical business systems; businesses across Central and Eastern Europe adopt cloud technologies and integrate business applications; and financial institutions in South Africa improve the security, resilience and efficiency of their technology environments.
The technologies, industries and countries have changed, but my approach has remained consistent: understand the problem, find the right solution and stay engaged until the desired outcome is achieved. I remain hands-on when required and maintain direct relationships with key stakeholders, working alongside their teams rather than simply handing over a technology solution.
Having lived and worked internationally across Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific, I bring a strong understanding of different cultures, markets and ways of doing business. I thrive on building new markets, creating growth and, most importantly, seeing customers succeed with the technology they adopt.
